how would if statements work with plugins, if i wanna have something happen when a certain player say enters a system. id use the EnteredSystem notifier (unedited shown below)
this is how i think id do it but it doesnt seem to work, not sure if i should use cases or just a simple if
this doesnt do anything, i make a char and put the charname in the [PLAYERNAME] slot and load it up in flac, when i jump system nothing happens

It works exactly like that, do note that string comparing is case sensitive in the example you posted and that you're missing a close brace immediately after the boolean expression. That would give you compiler errors though so easilly spotted I should think.
You can always echo the contents to screen and/or stream them to debug.log for debugging purposes.

ok got that working, the missing ) was a typo in the post. when testing i forgot to refrence the new dll
