I suggested this to Bulldog but figured I'd post it here so maybe some discussion about it could occur. I've also elaborated my idea a bit more here then I had explained to Bulldog.
The Idea would be a stored string of text set by each player to be recalled by a simple command from that player
/setcry <string> could be used to set the function.
/cry could be used to recall the function.
Example: /setcry 1000000 tax or I blast you fool! or /setcry Hold while I scan your cargo.
on typing /cry
system chat would display 1000000 tax or I blast you fool!
If thats possible expanding on that would be nice as well. Possibly adding a /setcry1 /setcry2 /setcry3 /setcry4 /setcry5 so there are 5 stored messages accessed by using /cry1 /cry2 etc.
The purpose for this is to make it easier for Police or Pirates to system chat a demand without loosing valuable time trying to type out the demand. This way the recipient does not get to fly to far before the demand is made.
Now to make it even more complex I was also thinking it could be neat if it were set so that it defaults to system chat unless there is a target selected then it send the demand Via private green chat.

today i poasted about system chat submissions, hopefully if i can find out how to send text to a system or to all players within the same system i can have this knocked out in 15min.
seems like a good idea to have 5 cry commands so /setcry 1 yarr! /setcry 2 boo! would store messages in an xml file and /cry 1 /cry 2 would get them and send them

well instead of havign it as /cry i might as well do it as /preset or something shorter for ease of use /pre 1 /pre 2 for example and then you can have any message

Yea whatever you call it doesn't mater to me. As long as it's something short. Only reason I called it battle cry was to illustrate one of the many uses.
