Ok second try at this, i tried posting this a second ago and my internet is so bad atm that it actually logged me out when i tried posting :S but as i was trying to say. I do not think that it is a server problem rather the internet itself, for the past couple of weeks myself and pretty much everyone i know have been experiencing extreme slowness in everyday usage, such as it took me 5 minutes to load this page and then wouldnt post :S It's affected people in america, but this is only a theory anyways i cant actually say whats going on since i have no idea, so that is the only explanation i can give, but in the mean time you'll just have to live with it, nothing we can do xD even if we did restart the server there would be minimal difference, im going to google this now to find out whats going on but atm the servers acting like it did when i first started playing so enjoy it xD The server softwarematicly restarts itself automaticly. What i mean is restart the computer thats running the server, witch eagle or cheetah has to do

I'm on Vista, I have no idea how you do it. However i'm on server now and lag is small but computers do flash up, it hasn't got much better.
EDIT: I get to 17, then times out.

The problem seems to occur when near npc's that are fighting or when fighting npc's only
First test - I log on (takes a long time) ping 200 loss 2 when logged on
Second test - After waiting outside for 5 minutes (no npc near me) ping 40 loss 0
Third test - While near npc's fighting ping 220 loss 5
4th test - While flying back to spot without npc's ping 45 loss 0

EDIT: I get to 17, then times out. Hello, the timeout means that the other "side" does not answer to the ping. It is not a problem, because that is the router in front of the server and it denies ping requests.

Well I checked the pings of the couple of people that were online earlier (on the Online Now section) and they were both in red, so i'm not so sure.

As I understand it, anyone who's ping is over 100 is going to show up in red in the Online now list. That means anyone from the USA will show a red ping. Possibly good news: I was on the server a few minutes ago with 2 other people on, and my ping was only slightly elevated from what I consider normal (5 points). I did not try with my VFS character, but when Boss hunting with my Sheriff, I was seeing no evidence of lag or loss. Hopefully this indicates the high ping/loss problems are fixed, or getting better.

today ( i think 3: 45 pm UTC) i was trading in train, each time some npc were near me : loss became 1% ( instead of 0%) but my ping didn't change. (always around 60). i was the only one player online. i just met one yellow comp on screen way taken : from NB to Alpha. ( thunder and lightning forced me to stop to play bad weather actually in France)

Hmm, well I just killed a load of NPC's in a mission there was no lag at all, so at the moment it's fixed for me. I'll trace in a second to see but i'm not sure that tells you much. A few others are still getting problems though so I don't know if it's fully fixed or it's just taking a break from pissing us off XD.

Seems our issue with the high ping has returned my normal is around 190, but 12 am server time it was 350 to 600 with loss up to 6% How was it fixed last time, can it be fixed again?
