did anybody asked about what will happen and how to resolve the issue about system takeover for next month? coz if we will be hostile in the systems where we scored for system control then there is no point to keep scoring for those systems unless there will be a place to land in them, me thinks.

Thank you Boss. Now, for some additional questions ;D :
What happens with existing characters? (as follows)
If I use the /startas command on ... my train ... as in "/startas liberty police" ... what will happen to the character? Will the character loose connection and return to the server in the new faction/role? Will any change occur to the character other than the application of a new reputation list? i.e. Will the ship be changed (except in the case of a new Nomad)? Will funds be lost, transfered to the account bank, or in any way effected? Will the location of the character be changed (except in the case of a new Nomad)?

StartAs command will discart your old character and start you as a new one with the selected faction. You'll lose everything on the old character when you do this, kills, map etc are all lost, credits are banked if the character in question has more than 20 minutes of online time.
Existing characters will automatically get a faction assigned which is the equivalent of their current role, e.g. Freelancers become Zoners etc.

Can be TRADE for unlawfull faction clans be alowed in smugling contraband? This way to open all sirius for trade and for more risky and slow trade in those space to be more awarded! If we switching to FL roleplay - this is one step that will make look like that. Login out... END

One question
Are we still going with these changes? unless i am confused, i see that the votes are just about 10 people who decides the fate of the server in general and there one is winning by 5 over 4 and 1.

Poll question isn't asking wether this change is desired or not, its asking how to shape it os we will go ahead regardless.

For clans, they dont start as zoners obviously. How are the new members going to get to buy their eagle without gettting blaster by enemy factions?, i know tokara has ships and theta but in tocara and theta there is corsairs and bounty hunters. Either way is not going to be easy in sipite of the fact that now we cant go anywhere without have an NPC behind our tails. In the omicrons and owned system this means a lot of getting killed or fight the way if we can manage it through.
Any faction we would choose is bound to have enemy NPC all over. How do we solve this?
I mean, hawk clan member can he improve his rep to go and buy his eagle without getting blasted? Maybe for the vets of the server they can fight their way through, buy how about those who are starting to play freelancer and are new to clans?
I was stranded in an area surrounded by enemy NPC and i kept getting killed before getting to alpha, lol, but is not funny really

Imo what you say is not a negative point at all... What's the point for people that are "new" to Freelancer to get an Eagle at the first day? They miss a whole lot of fun we all had, getting better ship per ship and reaching a level where he can finally buy an Eagle and also is capable of handling some Corsairs... Also clans would really get a base of operations, as players have to work their way up but can feel more or less save in the area where their clan is ruling. Imho much better then the "join the server, get 10 million, buy an Eagle" way that mostly was going on before... one more step in the direction of a realistic Eagle Utopia

Agree with Elatan 100 % And hard it is , but not impossible - my new members have to go from DM to Tokara for an eagle - its an mixture of flying skill and lil bit of luck ( as I said earlier ) Blood Dragons ( what 3MAJ choosed ) has 1 FRIEND - all other red .... you dont see us complaining and i'm certain it will be chaos ;D ( fun fun fun ) Its just a role play ; you choose a faction and get all good and bad with it ;D What i wonna ask is how does this change rep for those who dont change / choose faction ... for example me until i dont set new faction ? I ( as well the others ) expirianced some rep mess

Existing clan members should not (re)set their faction, they will automatically be assigned the proper profile by the server. New characters with clan tags are adviced to use the /startas command to set the faction their clan has so they will start with a map, ship, equipment and on a base that matches that faction. So -]LrdD[-Apocalypse, for your new members that means new ppl to the clan would use the /startas outcast command. As stated in this thread, you should all be very carefull in using the StartAs command. If you use it to set a new faction, you WILL lose your current ship/equipment/map/kills etc. This command is meant to be used on new characters only and we can't reverse its effects once applied!

Agree with Elatan 100 % And hard it is , but not impossible - my new members have to go from DM to Tokara for an eagle - its an mixture of flying skill and lil bit of luck ( as I said earlier ) Oh yeah EK turns are really hard to master What Elatan said is that he wants to see players advance through all stages of Freelancer. And that statement is quite situational There are NPC ships that have weapons and shield that are far superior to what you can buy at those levels you are expected to encounter them doing missions. So you will basically need nerves of steel, help, or just a strong will to roam around until you find an opponent you can actually defeat with your current ship.. Or you can always trade and go for the recipe Sonya and Elatan together mentioned [DM, Tokara, Eagle, Nomads, Missions..] I don't see many players going through the game in classic - almost single player way, though i don't play very often, correct me if i am mistaken

You're right, atm not many players do that, which is a shame because they miss a lot of fun. So it's a good improvement imo. Well, Eagle Utopia sure is no easy place... I guess many old players that are still active did it the old way, and the npc's in the main systems haven't changed since then. I did it the old way myself, so it sure is possible ... and not THAT hard...

Yes its true that our NPC's have better overall equipment than equal leveled players, but thats only fair... afterall, NPC's lack a brain which puts them at a disadvantage ^^ If new clan members miss this to do - r they cheating? Depends on the clan faction. Don't get me wrong though, its not cheating in the sense that someone is breaking rules, but in the sense that they're cheating themselves out of an easier way to level up. That is especially true if your clan faction is hostile to the default new character, so skipping this non mandatory 'to do' will just put your new clan m8 at a disatvantage
