Could we get a /setjoin command for the players so they could create there own message that ges displayed each time they connect to the server, for example
if lawful it could say player X reporting for duty
or a pirate it might say "avast ye landlubbers"

Anything that can be done through plug ins should be build as such, it then doesn't matter who picks it up 1st Should I put up a request section in the public area so other folks willing and able to write plug ins can see what sort of functionality is desired?

if i was to do it id have it work as a command to set the join message, if no join message is set it wont show anything appart from "New player ......". so when the person does
/setjoinmsg BullDogg has just joined
it would create a join message file within the players MP folder, then from then on when the player joins it sends the message to the universe.
@ Eagle - would it be possible to stop the New Player message and just have the custom join message if they have it enabled?

@bulldog, did you ever get round to removing that really annoying bright green credit banner message. If not then can you i would much rather set it myself in the rest of the banners and not have it appear so regularly.
